Bryan Barrath

Bryan has extensive knowledge in Human Resource Development and Performance Management, having worked as a Human Resource Development practitioner since 1989.  Ten of these years were in junior and middle management positions.

His introduction to the world of performance management began through his insistence for matching manager and employee understanding of jobs, whilst analysing skills.  Through this endeavour, the process of performance management was embarked upon.  He also designed organizational development, change management and training programmes, and has first-hand experience of major restructuring and merger processes.

Bryan is a professional facilitator and trainer, skilled in Criterion Referenced Instruction and Practical Training Instruction methodology.

His forté is in the work of self-management and empowerment and he has been involved in Diversity Training since 1988.  He has trained student counselors and HR practitioners in the art of diversity management.  This has provided him with a good environment.  He has conducted workshops in many different kinds of organizations such as the manufacturing environment, nurses training colleges, executive teams, student representative councils at secondary and tertiary levels, youth leadership programmes and churches.

Bryan enhanced his knowledge through studies at Port Elizabeth Technikon and provided management training through formal lectures at the Centre for Continuing Education under the auspices of the University of Port Elizabeth.

His many achievements at Shatterprufe Safety Glass Company include the implementation of an accelerated educational programme at Wits Technikon for employment equity candidates.  The highlight of his tenure at the company was the creation of an in-house Abet school, which later offered Abet classes to the Kwathema community in Springs, Gauteng.

After a seven-year period as a Training and Development Specialist at Parliament South Africa, Bryan has embarked upon an exciting journey of energizing all Africans to aspire to higher standards of self-management, moral obligation and spirituality.
